Jesus was God forsaken when He submitted to His death on the cross so that we could be in right standing with God and never be forsaken. Not only does His death give us eternal life, but it puts us in right relationship with God so that He can help u... more
Jesus was willing to leave Heaven, come into a sin filled world, live a perfect life, die for our sins, and be raised from the dead all so that we could have access to relationship and eternal life with God. If that’s what He was willing to do for us... more
Just as the crowds in the Gospels worshipped Jesus one day and the next day turned on Him to crucify Him, we can receive His salvation and mock His grace. When we continue to live a life of sin, we proclaim Jesus to be our Savior but not the Lord of ... more
God designed His Church to live in community with one another as one Body. When one part is hurting then the whole Body needs to hurt and weep with that part, and when another part is rejoicing then the whole Body needs to celebrate. This is the mark... more

The 1st sermon I heard of his was about David fighting Goliath and David defeating the bears/lions before he faced his giant- he spoke with so much conviction and passion that I fell in love with his ministry at that 1st encounter…I gain clarity and understanding over my circumstance every time he preaches. He’s been my “buckle in” pastor for 2 years now because I know I am going for the kind of ride that I’m leaving the table full EVERY time he comes to preach. Just powerful. LOVE !!!
I don’t know how anybody could rate him any less than five stars. He tells the truth and he’s blunt like me and he’s in your face and that’s what I like.
He doesn’t candy coat it he tells it like it is and maybe some people just don’t like it, but I love him because he’s telling you like it is he tells the truth doesn’t make you feel cozy and gives sweet answers like some other pastors too. He tells the truth, the truth, the truth, and I love it.
I listen to him every single morning as I can, ... more
How do you grow in your knowledge, walk, and faith? It’s about time…time in the Word, time in prayer, and taking the time to start each day with a powerful message. For the last year my husband and I have listened daily to Richard’s sermons. We pour a cup of coffee, listen to the lesson, and pray together before we head our separate ways. Even if one of us is traveling for work. We have a video call and still listen together. I found Richard years ago and have learned so much from him about w... more
Over the last year, I’ve been listening to your podcast several days a week, and your authentic love for Jesus and His church is evident, as well as your powerful messages of hope, love, mercy, and grace. By God’s divine appointment, I also realized that you are very good friends with the Tolson’s. Small world and God is amazing!
Thank you from North Carolina!
I heard You, Mr. Ellis a few years ago on the Radio ( you had been at a restaurant & spoke to the young lady server a day or two prior ); I don’t even remember what the actual sermon was about but what I remember is the Passion in your voice & the actions in your walk. Just rediscovered you via Podcasts, I look forward to the daily edification while I work. I am excited to be challenged.
