Rhetoric-O-Rama is a fun and educational introduction to rhetoric by two college professors, Dr. David R. Dewberry and Dr. Tim "As Seen on TV" McGee (Tim was on Wheel of Fortune in the early 80s). Episodes feature a discussion on some aspect of rhetoric, some untranslated Latin or Greek, some tasty bonus content: a fallacy, a historical tidbit, or a stylistic device to help improve your rhetoric. ... more

Really interested in the topic but had to stop listening after 4 episodes because of the one hosts’ CONSTANT “witty” sidebars that do not contribute but distract. The host Tim is wonderful and I wish I could hear him uninterrupted .
I like this podcast. Wish it was more often. I do have a comment. John Hanson was the first President in the United States. I think there were 7 before George Washington. The “Fact” statement that would be correct was “ George Washington was the first elected president of the United States.”
The Fire and Brimstone episode was a torturous preview of the destiny of the unrepentant: eternal, conscious torment.
