This is one of the best Gilmore girls podcast
I listened to this podcast because I wanted something to listen along to while doing a rewatch and I had already listened to other podcasts. While it’s obvious that Celeste and Cordia do a lot of research for each show, it is EXTREMELY ANNOYING that Cordia cannot seem to pronounce names/places/etc…properly-even ones that are very common knowledge. I can see mispronouncing a few words, but this is an all the time occurrence, multiple times each episode. Ladies, you are doing a podcast, you are in... more
It’s really hard listening to a podcast about a tv show by hosts who don’t understand how TV works. They really said “it’s unrealistic they overheard them talking when they were 3 rows back” like do you not understand set staging??
“Why are there so many family guy references” because the show runner worked on that show?? “Oh we never look at who wrote it” then maybe be quiet about things you didn’t take 3 extra seconds to understand.
The contact victim blaming of Lorelai is disgusting, ultim... more
i wanna like this podcast but sometimes the hosts go on too long about things that don’t matter. they often seem to not even like the show. gilmore girls has problems that i wanna hear talked about but it also has plenty of merits i wanna hear praised and i dont think the hosts have found that balance.
Love Gilmore Girls and this podcast. I can’t get past how annoyed I get though when playing listener feedback and Megan says Sookies name. It really bothers me for some reason. Thanks for all the work you’ve done on this podcast.
This podcast does two things very well. First, it gives detailed explanations of the references which are well-researched and insightful. The second thing this podcast is good for is it doesn’t skip episodes, and gives you a summary as a companion to the show.
Don’t expect this podcast to give you a new or valuable view of Gilmore Girls. Cordia and Celeste have two compulsive tics that Amy Sherman-Paladino would be yelling threw the phone at them for. First of all, having never worked in tv th... more
I came across this podcast this past summer and have been hooked ever since! I love how each episode is analyzed with such depth and I am so glad every episode is so long and full of details and feedback. I wish I had heard of this podcast years ago so that I could have written in with my own Gilmore Girls origin story. But just in case Cordia and Celeste read their reviews, here it goes...
I started watching Gilmore Girls with my mom on DVD when I was only 8 years old. Despite being so young, ... more
Nice detailed discussion of episodes!! I can’t tell who it is, but one of the podcasters has a cat who will occasionally meow in the background. I find this to be a hilarious punctuation to discussions of the Gilmore girls
I grew up watching Gilmore Girls as it came out and I have run through the entire series several times. It was fun to listen to this podcast while watching alongside because they point out things I didn't notice before despite having watched it so many times. However, I'm pretty sure these ladies don't even like the show and that was SUCH a bummer. Episodes that were so fun and nostalgic for me were ripped apart by their reviews over the simplest things. There was a lot of unnecessary complainin... more
Just started on episode one. This podcast is so good. Excited to start this rewatch while listening to your show.
If the only two good things to come out of lockdown are me being introduced to the Gilmore Girls and then discovering this podcast then so be it! I know I’m very very late to this party (about 4 years?) but I literally watch an episode and then tune into the corresponding podcast to hear feedback and discussions on that same episode...sort of like discussing it with friends except without friends as said before I’m too late to this party and my other friends have moved onto the likes of Killing ... more
It’s awesome to have a podcast that goes through the episodes. However, way too much criticism on the characters, especially about the young characters, Rory, Dean, Lane, etc, when they are teenagers. They’re kids and no one is perfect. I understand there are a lot of plot inconsistencies in the show (like Rory not knowing she needed have extracurriculars for Harvard), but for a show for fans, it gets irritating to have every little thing picked apart. This podcast is not for fans who love the s... more
I really love the structure of the podcast. However, it’s disgusts me how you call Dean abusive. Someone is allowed to be mad. Dean has never insulted her or touched her. You don’t know what abuse is, and it’s insulting to anyone who has been abused. I have to say I am going crazy with how much you trash talk the show? My favorite part about the show is how realistic it is and how it’s unpredictable. You guys literally analyze every little thing and trash talk everything. It makes me wonder if y... more
This podcast for Gilmore Girls is absolutely THE best! I have recommended it many times for several reasons. Detailed discussions of every element and nuance of which you can think takes place herein. While the hosts have an occasional miss, there is an enthusiastic cadre of listeners who add commentary and suggest alternate analyses. Would love these hosts to take on Sex and the City, Downton Abby or The Mindy Kaling Show. Thank you, ladies, for a wonderful podcast!
K I’m obvs super late to this (the podcast started in 2014, I hadn’t even started Gilmore girls then) but I love it sm. I’ve been able to draw out the show almost 3 years now (because I have a big fear of changes and the end of stuff) and I have 2 episodes left, which I am trying to save another year (because then Rory will finish yale when I finish school and (sorry this is weird) it’ll be like I’ve kind of lived through my school life with her). In the meantime, I have almost 4 years worth of ... more
