  • Young listener

Always had a love for 1960’s garage rock. In my tweens I was into doo wop and rockabilly, in the army I listened to that and 60’s music. I will continue to be a listener. Even though Phil Grey had a weird obsession with Trump. Is there no other modern politicians that he can have voiced on the show?

ep. 734 - Another Killer Episode Filled With Fuzz, Grit, and Teen Angst!
Q: Another question. I'd like to know what's your attitude toward dancing.

ep. 730 - Ultra-Obscure 🇦🇺 Aussie Garage with Ethan Kernaghan
Q: How do you balance honoring the original garage aesthetic with modern sonic possibilities in your studio work?
I use as much old-school, homemade equipment as possible and even built effects myself to preserve the raw, primitive character while achieving a fresh, contemporary sound.
ep. 730 - Ultra-Obscure 🇦🇺 Aussie Garage with Ethan Kernaghan
Q: Was there any specific kind of eureka moment in your research that finally turned this from a lost chapter into a cohesive story?
Yes, discovering a long-forgotten fanzine and interview with Ziggy Zapata, plus other rare photos, provided the missing threads that tied together the band's public mythos and actual history.
ep. 728 - The Chloupek Collection: Continental Distortion
Q: Tell us how you first discovered 60s garage, was it through that song?
Peter explains his initial exposure and how his lifelong collecting habits grew from there, emphasizing how early influences and family music shaped his interest and led him to seek out rare compilations and deep cuts.
