從聞思修，入三摩地，聞於耳，思於心：焦於行、能生無遍聖慧，故能入正定•《楞嚴宗通，云：
從「入流亡所」，至「聞所聞盡」，即此根初解，先得人空；
「盡聞不住，覺所覺空」，即空性圓明，成法解脫：
「空覺極圓，空所空滅」，即解脫法已，俱空不生；
「生滅既滅，寂滅現前」，即從三摩地，得無生忍。
《金剛經》云：「須陀洹名為入流，而無所入，不入色聲香味觸法，是名須陀洹：⋯斯陀含名一往來，而實無往來，是名斯陀含；…阿那含名為不來，而實無不來，是名阿那含；⋯實無有法，名阿羅漢。」 more

我今欲令阿難開悟，二十五行，誰當其根；兼我滅後，此界眾生，入菩薩乘，求無上道，何方便門，得易成就？
釋迦牟尼佛問文殊師利菩薩說：「我現在聽到二十五個圓通法門，希望你告訴我，要如何使阿難開悟呢？」
釋迦牟尼佛在聽完二十五位聖者（菩薩與阿羅漢）各述最初修證圓通的方便法門後，因這二十五種修法實則無高下之分，佛陀為使阿難及未來眾生能尋得最易成就的法門，指示文殊師利菩薩進行簡擇。

三界唯心，萬法唯識 。
「心」(citta)是精神作用的主體，意(manas)、識(vijñāna)是心的異名；三者有不同的功能。心的功能時有時無，故稱「妄心」。「妄」指虛妄，緣起緣滅，無常迅速，自性空，有而不真實，並非斷滅。有偈曰：
