縱然沒有殺盜淫之業如犯大妄語，則貪人供養之心未除，故仍然會被生死所纏縛。「成愛見魔，失如來種」。愛魔就是愛受他人的利養，求人尊重他為最尊最勝者。見魔就是妄起邪見。如來種就是人人本來就具有的種性。自己已經著魔，而不自知。被愛見二魔所劫，既然淪溺在生死裡，則會失卻了佛果的種性！

1、為什麼《楞嚴經》上說得這麼樣的肯定，這麼樣的堅決，就是《楞嚴》是教你決定得出三界。幫助我們超越三界，永脫輪迴，是屬於大乘菩薩法。因此在戒律的限制就非常的嚴格，這是諸位要曉得，甚至於比在戒經裡面講的還要嚴格。為什麼？是教我們在這一生當中圓滿菩提，這是大乘道登峰造極，所以說的都是事實真相。

因慈悲心生菩提心，因菩提心而成菩提果。
殺一人而救多人，乃菩薩為利益眾生所作之善權方便。據瑜伽師地論卷四十一也有記載
《大寶積經》上有這樣一段記載：佛陀在因地修行的時候，為了救五百個人而殺了一個人，這樣的做法合乎道德嗎？ 佛陀正是抱著這種「我不入地獄，誰入地獄」的悲心，而殺一救百，所以在大乘的戒律中是讚歎他的行為。 我們在修行菩薩道時，除了動機要純正，抱持大慈悲心之外，還要具備心甘情願接受因果制裁的膽識，因為有所造作，必有報應。

攝心為戒』，『因戒生定』，『因定發慧』，戒、定、慧三者具備，不但不再漏落於欲界、色界、無色界，也不會漏落於空、有二邊，這就是達成無漏果位的三無漏學。
在經歷了多生累劫輪迴的過程中，早已沾染了許許多多的習氣與業力。故把我們「本自具足」、「本不生滅」、「本自清淨」、「本無動搖」、「能生萬法」的自性光明都遮蔽了，因此藉由修學戒、定、慧的方式，來明心見性。
故佛經才說「由戒生定」我們能心如止水時，則波浪不生，大乘起信論將浪視為無明煩惱。所以狂心頓歇，歇即菩提。
