  • Is Erika ok?

Love listening to this podcast and even watching the episode on YouTube in the background while I’m cleaning or whatever it’s fun and this is my all-time favorite show. I feel like I looked up to Kyle’s character so much as a kid and LOVED Max. I love the conversations. I love everything about this show however it seems like Erika. The last few episodes has been getting grumpier and grumpier and throwing little unnecessary jabs at Kim. Kim is always so sweet and I feel like she does her best to ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

When Men Show Up featuring TC Carson
Q: What are Erika and TC's take on the Max and Kyle relationship in Living Single as it relates to black love?
They were a good representation of a couple really working to resolve their differences, showcasing a universal love story beyond just a racial context.
Boss Lady Blues featuring Shaun Baker
Q: Did you know that Russell was going to come back?
No, it was just a guest spot and I didn't know I would return until my mother started a campaign for me to come back.
Obie-Wan Henton featuring John Henton
Q: Was Overton's gripe about the Cleveland Browns autobiographical?
Yes, it was very real. The state of the Browns now is just chaos, but nobody's expecting anything now.
Obie-Wan Henton featuring John Henton
Q: What best advice would you give to someone starting out as a stand up right now?
Do it because you love to do it. The most important thing is wanting that stage time and crowd response.
Max Gets Her Groove Back featuring Anwar White
Q: How common is it that that kind of preemptive shame shows up?
There's a shame that happens, that women feel like if they're dating a younger man, that they're preying on the naive or feel pathetic in any way.
