Not exactly what I’d call objective. The host make their leanings clear right from the get go. They go on to offer several objectionable assertions about events that they demonstrate may or may not have happened. They back these up with the opinion of a “leading” academic who during the show according to police evidence and statements gathered by the podcast hosts discredits herself as being basically insane. The hosts mostly take a neutral and objective position, as would be expected of good journalism. However, the podcast interviews many hardline China critics who receive little pushback from the hosts in interviews.
For balance they have John Key, who seems biased and to be fond of China for economic reasons.
Well put together, goes out of its way to look at both sides of this issue
