  • Relatable and refreshing

I love how open they are about a generally taboo subject of sex addiction or porn addiction. I find it tremendously helpful from the betrayal point of view, as well as the tools provided for the betrayed partner and the addict. Going through this right now, it's a guiding light in a huge uncertain storm for me.

  • Timely Help

I stumbled on to this podcast in my “suggestions” and the first title I saw was about accepting your body. Post betrayal and post menopause, that’s a big struggle in my life and I figured it was a sign. I listened and was not disappointed! Heading back now to hear more!

  • Kylene’s Story

I recently caught my husband this week. I’ve been grieving my life and I couldn’t put into words what I was feeling and going through. When Kylene gave her story I just cried because it’s almost exactly what I went through. I feel a little more hopeful that there might be a chance. Thank you for sharing your story.

  • What I’m dealing with is normal

I feel like you were standing in the room for every step of my husband’s infidelity disclosure. The lying, the partial truth coming out, hiding, secrecy. The betrayal trauma is so real. Mentally and physically. You reacted the exact same way to your husband that, it’s nice to know that these are normal behaviors and completely expected. I thought I was losing my mind.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

172 - Listener Q&A: Questions From Betrayed Partners
Q: What about the addict's behavior vs attitude when they resist or resent recovery?
Resentment is a red flag; true recovery requires alignment between what they do, how they feel, and who they are becoming. If attitude contradicts action, trust cannot be rebuilt and ongoing care is required.
172 - Listener Q&A: Questions From Betrayed Partners
Q: How should empathy vs restitution letters be handled in recovery?
Use the What's Next course to guide these letters: the impact letter lets the betrayed partner express how the betrayal affected them, while the restitution letter from the addict demonstrates understanding, outlines accountability, and presents a concrete recovery plan to prevent recurrence.
172 - Listener Q&A: Questions From Betrayed Partners
Q: Is deleting apps enough, and should passwords be shared or changed?
High-level guidance suggests implementing the strongest boundaries early (including deleting problematic apps and accounts), using blockers, and sharing passwords to foster transparency and safety; the recovering partner should share passwords and be prepared to fully reintegrate access later as trust rebuilds.
160 - Divorce Recovery with Raquell Barton
Q: Would you mind sharing a little bit about yourself and how did you become a divorce coach?
Raquell explains her personal journey through divorce and how she transitioned into coaching after discovering a niche that combined her experiences with helping other women navigate the process, supported by training and certification.
156 - Navigating Divorce, Before, During and After with Olivia Howell and Fresh Starts Registry
Q: What is a way that you feel like you could support someone that maybe you're not going through a divorce?
You can help them find legal assistance, attend consultations with them, or provide emotional support.
