I enjoy listening to their discussions about books and films that I enjoyed, and also about those that I didn’t. Both hosts share interesting and relevant views about literary, sociological and psychological aspects of the studied works. Highly recommended!
This podcast is intellectual without being inaccessibly highbrow.
Even though each episode is specific to a single story, the two co-hosts, Luke and David allow the listener to be a part of the conversation without isolating them with too much prior knowledge.
A refreshingly down to earth, yet incredibly interesting take on a range of modern and classic stories. Looking forward to more episodes!
I love this podcast! I found it after I read East of Eden and just really wanted more of it (btw, that book is everything and their episode on it is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 so satisfying). Now I can’t get enough! I appreciate their insights framed in a conversation I could actually imagine being part of. 100% recommend!
I discovered this amazing podcast a month or so ago and can’t stop listening. I have quite a bit of time at work to listen to podcasts, audiobooks and whatever so I’m always looking for something new and fresh. I have been binging on these since I found them. In Really True Fiction Luke and David talk about the books and movies then delve into the philosophical aspects in a very intelligent and entertaining way. Makes me feel like I’m in the room there with them.

Hobbiton is green world, youthful but not young: that hasn’t been robbed of innocence; is not yet robbed of its natural state (all those trees) but is quickly becoming comfortable with ease and accumulating bounty. True, it is knowledge(awareness) that darkens doors and where, in th... more
