Just caught up with the first three episodes of this today, as a big documentary fan, it was great to get more insight into the films that inspire filmmakers - as well as some more recommendations to add to my watch list.
Liking this so far, some interesting conversations, and stuff I hadn’t thought about, bit deeper than most podcasts and it’s nice they’re not just plugging whatever latest thing all the time
It’s great to hear from documentary makers about how and why they made these films. So many interesting back stories and a great way of finding out about some docs to watch that I hadn’t heard of.
The Asif Kapadia episode is superb
For a documentary fan and aspiring doc maker myself, I really appreciate this podcast
