Grate to find new anime, just stop before they get to the end as they do spoil the hole thing. A lot of extra info and much to compare.
Unedited anime disputes with too much uhm-akchually contrarianism to be enjoyable. I honestly wonder how these three can put up with each other. I recommend couples counseling.
Love the podcast. Sent it to one my friends to listen to as well. Really enjoyed episode on Princess Mononoke. One humble critique I’d offer is they can meander a lot. Would be good to make a time marker for the main quest so that people can skip. Sometimes it’s interesting, but more often than not, kinda sucks to have to listen to separate topics for more than an hour before you get to the topic of the episode.
God, this podcast is exactly what I’ve been looking for for at least two years. I tried so many long-form anime podcasts that were either too shallow, too random or just plain boring. This one nails it. It actually digs into context, reception, inspiration, history… everything I had been craving. And thank you Geoff for bringing up the launch in your Mother’s Basement video a while back !

4 stars is all I can give to a group of reviewers who can't all agree to at least put Project A-Ko into their top 100. Also, of the 3, I can only really relate to Miles(who used to work at Crunchyroll and who always sounds earnest) the other 2 I think have youtube channels with big followings but for the most part rarely show up in my feed and I have no interest in watching in the once in a blue moon time their videos do show up. I don't know what to say about a bunch of guys who can't recogni... more

The show stands out for its stacked host dynamic, willingness to challenge rankings, and a weekly cadence that treats anime as both art and conversation-worthy culture, not just entertainment.
