  • Yay!

I have been looking for a podcast or discussions that bring queerness and ifs directly together because they have felt sooo connected in my own experience but there is a lack of discussion around it. I am honestly shocked at the lack of overlap that I can find online between these two topics so I am excited to watch this podcast grow, thank you!

Episode 12 - Queering IFS - Bringing Compassion to the Complexity around Pronouns for Everybody with Phil de la Haye
Q: What personal or cultural considerations arise when discussing pronouns across languages like English and Italian?
Language structures shape pronoun usage and availability of gender-neutral options; professionals need to navigate cultural norms, adapt practices with awareness of language limitations, and advocate for inclusive language development within their communities.
Episode 12 - Queering IFS - Bringing Compassion to the Complexity around Pronouns for Everybody with Phil de la Haye
Q: What are the potential risks of making pronoun inviting feel like tokenism, and how can those risks be mitigated?
Tokenism can undermine trust and fail to address broader issues of inclusion; mitigation involves genuine organizational commitment, ongoing support, and embedding pronoun discussion within broader inclusive practices rather than treating it as a checkbox.
Episode 12 - Queering IFS - Bringing Compassion to the Complexity around Pronouns for Everybody with Phil de la Haye
Q: Why is it important to invite pronouns in training spaces, and how should it be framed?
Inviting pronouns helps create a safer, more inclusive learning environment for trans and non-binary participants, as part of a thoughtful, non-tokenistic approach that is part of a larger inclusivity plan, with clear consent and sensitivity to participants' comfort levels.
