  • Shilin episode

I think the recent Shulin episode is really good. I was driving and listening to it in my car, and even after reaching my destination, I stayed inside just to finish the whole episode. This is actually the first time I’ve ever done that — usually, once I arrive, I just switch off the podcast like a radio. But this Shulin episode made me want to sit through till the very end.

Living a Good Life: Purpose, Faith, and Servant Leadership (S4E36)
Q: What do you think about this definition of living a good life: living in the place that you belong, with the people you love, doing the right work on purpose?
It's a good definition, but it needs to have God in it to truly be a good life.
Finding Your Ikigai: Sha-En’s Journey from Primary School Teacher to Happiness Scientist (S4E35)
Q: How do you feel now that you are aligned with your Ikigai?
I wake up every morning feeling very motivated and reflective, even on bad days.
Finding Your Ikigai: Sha-En’s Journey from Primary School Teacher to Happiness Scientist (S4E35)
Q: What advice would you give to those who need the courage to pursue their Ikigai?
I would say small daily steps is better than one large step. Set goals and work towards them daily.
Laying the Groundwork: Guiding a $30 Million Business Succession Plan (Bonus Episode)
Q: How can Richard step away from the company completely?
Richard's transition needs to be structured and visible, involving gradually less daily operational control while still guiding strategically as a non-executive chairman.
