  • Very Informative!

I’m a chiropractor and I’m currently taking Dr. Silverman’s Functional Nutrition course. I’m learning so much and I am very much looking forward to the rest of it as well as applying my new knowledge into my practice! Can’t wait to read his book too!

  • Accessible and valuable

This podcast is aimed at a broader audience, in contrast to some lengthy, detailed health / fitness podcasts, such as Huberman, Attia, and others. I highly recommend this for people with less experience and knowledge alongside motivation and interest to improve their health through exercise. Dr. Rob brings on the right guests and asks the right questions, and episodes are thankfully under an hour!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Biology of Trauma: Why Sequence And Precision Are the Missing Piece in Healing
Q: What is the difference between stress and trauma, and how does that relate to health?
Stress is an activation that can return to baseline, while trauma is an unresolved activation that lingers, driving disease risk and systemic dysregulation across multiple body systems.
The Biology of Trauma: Why Sequence And Precision Are the Missing Piece in Healing
Q: Trauma, is it psychological or biological?
Both; it involves psychological processing and biological/physiological changes, with the body's state determining how trauma manifests and heals.
Why Posture Is a Brain Problem, Not a Spine Problem
Q: Why is posture linked to breathing and core function?
Because the diaphragm forms the ceiling of the core and breathing patterns influence both spinal posture and brain feedback loops, so retraining breathing supports better posture and reduced pain.
Why Posture Is a Brain Problem, Not a Spine Problem
Q: What is posture in one sentence?
Posture is how you balance your body, integrating alignment, motion, and balance into a dynamic, living state rather than a fixed position.
Labs in Precision Medicine: An N-of-1 Framework
Q: What are your thoughts on testosterone testing and TRT in aging men?
Total testosterone is the starting point; free testosterone is useful if the total doesn't explain symptoms. The optimal ratio tends to be around 1-1.5% free to total, but decisions should be guided by symptoms and broader health context rather than a single number.
