I think Glen and Andrew are a really good pair. I listen to Glen a lot so I was worried this would be repetitive but the exchanges he has with Andrew are fresh and it’s quite interesting.
Do be warned though, when they get to talking about Marquis de Sade it gets a lot more intense than I was expecting from a clean podcast and that unsavory figure got lodged into my mind much more than I would’ve liked. Not exactly for kids. But with that caveat it’s great
Two vigorous intellects who wear their formidable learning lightly, engaged in superb conversation of the highest quality. Fantastic and inspiring. They should do live shows like Rest is History etc.
Having read both books that came put recently by the authors of this podcast and finding them enormously helpful in seeing the forest with its trees in the development of the west in relation to Christianity, I am enjoying working my way through the episodes.
Both writers/presenters are wonderfully well informed and interesting to listen to as they interview each other and bounce around through ideas and history with a facility and a tone that makes for pleasurable and fairly easy listening giv... more
Forgive me for not responding sooner. There’s content I thought I’d never hear publicly, least of all in the Church. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Superb, as we’d expect from Andrew Wilson and Glen Scrivener. Makes me aware how much they both are skillfully and carefully communicating at the level of the ordinary person, as these chats are next level!!! I don’t get everything, but the overall impact is in interested, drawn in, and given a substantial confidence boost that Jesus and Christianity aren’t so stupid, backward and regressive after all. Many thanks! To Eastbourne!
