After watching a movie, whether new or old, I always come to the podcast and see if there is an episode on it. Very grateful for this podcast and I recommend it often to others.
These guys and gals deliver the goods. They differentiate the “likability” of a movie from its thematic depth. The framework within which they hold up a film to the biblical narrative (the three R’s) has revolutionized how I approach entertainment…and society as a whole. Is it okay for them to have this much fun in ministry??
Love the podcast. I have always loved viewing movies from a Christian prescriptive.
Love this podcast! I typically watch movies with a critical eye, trying to find the gospel in each one I see. It’s so refreshing to see that there are more people out there doing the same thing! God bless you guys!
I’ve been listening to Popcorn Theology for the better part of a year, and it’s truly influenced the way in which I engage with film and TV. I find myself naturally looking for and seeing bridges to the Greatest Story as well as seeing how the Christian worldview is so much better than the “American Dream” in so many films. This podcast has become for me an exercise in pop-cultural/Christian discipleship—training to have a better vision for life in Babylon.
