  • This show ruined itself

This show started out great, and unfortunately raced right to the bottom.

Based on a transcript, this podcast sells cohost slots to turn episodes into advertisements. Without disclosing that upfront. Not ethical for a newscast.

Wow. What did fiction podcasts do to Cridland? Whatever it is, it has ruined his objectivity. His grudges have slipped out of his control.

  • Oops … show hit a bump

Wow. What did fiction podcasts do to Cridland? Whatever it is, it has ruined his objectivity. His grudges have slipped out of his control.

How to get your podcast promoted in Spotify. Plus - Neil from Headliner
Q: Is there a form to fill in to get shows promoted? And how do you discover shows to promote anyway?
There isn't a formal submission process today; promotion is driven by editorial and algorithmic signals, focusing on creators with content that resonates and drives retention, and with major launches and guests that can be highlighted.
Apple Podcasts new video, and AI in podcasting from Snipd and Podhome
Q: What is Snipped's latest AI feature and how does it differ from earlier versions?
The company extended AI capabilities to include AI DJ, which lets users chat with listened-to podcasts, have the AI identify core moments, and guide playback while preserving original voices; the AI DJ acts as a moderator rather than producing a transcript, and it can be triggered via both tapping a headphone and voice interaction.

Q: What does Triton's approach to video and HLS mean for publishers monetizing their shows?
Triton aims to keep publishers in control by offering central hosting and monetization paths, supporting MP4 RSS as a foundational step, and gradually integrating HLS with ad insertion, while emphasizing the importance of first-party data and cross-platform reach.

The successful podcasts are often tied to local networks, where creators may receive salaries instead of directly monetizing their shows.
