Great podcast. For the non-pods like me who are allied health clinicians, just ‘Autotune’ “Podiatry” for your profession and you’ll get a lot of useful information for marketing your practice.

  • Highlighting passion within the Podiatry profession

This podcast changed my mindset, my practice, and how I approach clinic everyday. As a solo practitioner, podiatry can be really isolating, and it’s difficult to find help and guidance. The calibre of guests, the topics, the ideas for employed practitioners and business owners alike is astounding. So many ideas that can be applied to your practice, there is something for everyone here. I highly recommend this podcast!

436 - Who Are You When You're Not Being A Podiatrist, with Wilson Lawrence
Q: How can someone begin to articulate and live from their identity in daily life?
The guests outline a process: identify three adjectives, verify their truth with evidence, reflect on how actions align with identity, and use a simple question to recalibrate when unsure.
436 - Who Are You When You're Not Being A Podiatrist, with Wilson Lawrence
Q: Is it possible to act outside of your identity for a greater purpose, and is that always acceptable?
They acknowledge there are rare moments where stepping outside your usual identity can serve a higher goal, as long as it doesn't harm anyone, but emphasize returning to your true identity thereafter.
436 - Who Are You When You're Not Being A Podiatrist, with Wilson Lawrence
Q: What three adjectives best describe your personality and character?
Tyson and Wilson discuss choosing three adjectives that describe a person (e.g., humorous, passionate, professional) and then testing if they truly reflect who the person is, and whether they are living in alignment with those traits in real life.
428 - Rise and Grind: Why Strategy Beats Hustle Every Time
Q: How do you adapt services when the marketplace changes?
We diagnose market dynamics, shift who we target (e.g., from selling to buyers in real estate to working with real estate agents as a value-add), and develop programs that align with clients' real needs, such as probate avoidance in estate planning.
428 - Rise and Grind: Why Strategy Beats Hustle Every Time
Q: What is Rise and Grind really about beyond the quotable soundbite?
It's about getting up, doing the work with focus, and creating real value in every interaction, not just sharing inspirational quotes. The goal is to translate motivation into concrete, repeatable business actions that move clients and the company forward.
