  • Really, really dumb

I’ve been a long time listener but Martin is really hard to listen to, terrible interviewer, slow, dull. Really cheesy new age bs guests lately. Pretty done with this show.

  • Best UFO Podcast

Martin continues to broadcast the best line up of guests to discuss current events and historic cases. I have been listening to him for ten years, and he remains both sober and hopeful about the subject

  • An institution

Martin has been at this for ages and his show is one of the first that hooked me when podcasts were newish. The host isn’t necessarily steeped in research but he’s had his own experiences and has a sincere interest in the topic. Regularly has thought-provoking guests.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

779. Rich Hoffman
Q: Can you share some MUFON report statistics and categories you use today?
He explains his long involvement with MUFON, starting as a state director and evolving into leadership roles, while noting that a large portion of sightings are misidentifications or things like Venus, drones, or conventional aircraft rather than unexplained phenomena.
780. UFOs over New Hampshire
Q: What do you think is the biggest UFO event in New Hampshire?
Dean Merchant argues Exeter is the standout case due to extensive witness accounts, police testimony, and its influence on local ufology, suggesting it would merit Guinness-level documentation.
777. Scott Gearen
Q: How would you characterize the sighting that occurred during the three-hour observation—was it steady or intermittent?
The object stayed largely in a limited section of the sky but performed dynamic morphing and rapid shape changes during the video, indicating rapid transformations rather than slow drift, with moments of hovering and then quick movement.
777. Scott Gearen
Q: Can you tell everyone exactly what happened when you were skydiving?
The guest describes a parachute jump from 13,000 feet where a second jumper collided with him in free fall, destroying the parachute and leaving him unconscious, with subsequent rescue and a long hospital recovery; he recalls the sequence of events, the struggle to stay conscious, and the eventual life-saving actions by fellow rescue personnel.
774. Professor Matthew Bowman on Betty & Barney Hill
Q: What is your stance on the Hill abduction memory—do you think something real happened?
Bowman leans toward believing something unusual occurred, but emphasizes memory, memory construction, and hypnosis complicate the precise nature of events; Vallee's cautious stance resonates with him.
