  • Off-season gold… or at least bronze

After the collapse of the Pac-12 I stopped listening to this show as it no longer covered my team. But I decided to tune in for an off-season episode. I couldn’t believe my ears... what I heard was crisp, well-produced audio, playing what appeared to be easily understandable complete sentences. I started thinking the show had used that BIG-money to professionalize and then I realized I was just listening to an ad. Fortunately, the show remains as mediocre as ever! Keep it up! I’ve listened to ev... more

  • Mediocre Podcast

This podcast will leave you with either a joyous feeling or a feeling of “ I just waisted an hour of precious time on this earth” Either feeling you get, it will be because of Dave’s deep and analytical research he does on all 18 teams before every show or due to Ryan’s obsession with trying to get you to gamble every beginning of a new episode. Either way, you will leave this show with a taste of mediocre in your mouth. This show is truly a great way to spend an hour of your every other random... more

  • Basketball podcast

I started listening to Podcast of Champions somewhere around 2016 or 2017, and it became one of my favorite college football podcasts. As a Utah fan, it was great to have a show that covered the entire Pac-12 with people who actually knew the conference. I also have to admit I kind of miss getting the perspective of someone that covers a basketball school.

When the Pac-12 fell apart, though, I stopped listening. It wasn’t because the podcast changed in quality, it was because it was honestly har... more

  • Perfectly Mediocre

Do you like podcasts where the show suddenly begins live without warning on YouTube? The hosts upload the show to the wrong RSS feed? Where episodes don’t get uploaded to any podcast platform, forcing you to watch on YouTube with ads every 5 minutes like you are watching a monetized Twitch stream? This is the show for you!

Dave’s “wgaf” attitude towards preparation pairs perfectly with Ryan’s disappointed dad persona when he once again realizes Dave hasn’t read the show notes and is more prepar... more
