  • Pickleball

Currently a 2-star prospect in the composite rankings, David Woods lacks elite bend and is reluctant to get into a stance. Net game is a nascent. Serve is serviceable. Relies on a backhand flick that is only effective on the least competitive courts in El Segundo. NIL demand exorbitant. Half the guys in his squad have a scar on their face. Uncoachable.

  • Too Rated

This podcast gets five stars. The hosts pretend to be stupid but they’re both really smart. So never ask them any questions because they will give you smug answers. Ryan has a Masters Degree in electrical engineering which means he knows high-level math and formulas and stuff. At one point, he took his talents to Silicon Valley. Dave was a national merit scholar meaning he was smarter than 99.9% of the 16-year-olds in the country at one point. He also was a History Major who tutored folks on ho... more

  • Keeping it mediocre

When I'm out of things to listen to, I turn to my stash of unlistened POC episodes.

There's something uplifting about listening to Ryan and Bert trash each other that brings a smile to my face, sometimes.

  • I’ve been listening to this podcast since Larry Scott

Yeah… so I’ve been listening to this podcast since 2021. My first listen was the announcement of Larry Scott being fired. (For those who don’t know, years ago there used to be a West Coast based athletic conference. It was mostly average at football but elite at the sports that really matter like beach volleyball. As an aside, we had seven TV channels covering sports like tumbling and swimming but no one knew that because most people believed the PAC12 channels were just a myth since there was n... more
