Dreams come true - in the last podcast we lamented about not being asked to participate in the local festivals after I couldn't obey the simple rule of 'respectful silence' well! Good thing the Ugly Club Festival was all about fun and I could talk to... more

Very disappointing. Had just discovered this podcast, listened to a few episodes and was starting to enjoy it when the host started making rude, discriminatory fatphobic comments: “So I go in there looking like a fatty, carrying three plates all to myself!” and laughing. Unfollowed.
This show is exactly what I need right now. It’s the perfect escape from the stressful news and chaos of regular life here in the US. Listening to Jason and Ashley feels like visiting with a couple of friends who have interesting everyday lives in the Italian countryside complete with quirky neighbors and unexpected problems that are nonetheless solvable often with the help of other villagers. It may be an audio format but their stories really paint a picture!
I get up, and I listen to an episode or two about the goings-on in Le Marche, and the enthusiasm and generosity of the hosts starts my day off in the most lovely way.
I was slow to joining the podcast craze and this podcast was literally the 2nd podcast I had ever tuned in to. They have basically ruined all other podcasts for me. They are so genuine and you feel like you’re listening to two friends telling you stories instead of a formal, stuffy, podcast format. I have always loved Italy and their way of life, and it’s crazy that these two expat Americans made me love it even more.
Love listening to the two of you and your stories of life in Italy. The reality, the good, the bad and beautiful moments.
