  • Great Discussions, Fun Personalities

I’ve been out of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG for over a decade now, but I enjoy tuning in to hear about some of the news and most of all the discussions between Paul and Alec. Cool guys and entertaining discussions. Keep it up!

  • Enjoyable but with Really Intrusive Ads

Good content, but the frequent and invasive adverts ruin the experience. I would much rather listen to a front loaded back to back advertisement period at one point in the show than randomly having the Paul and Alec stopped mid-sentence for the ad to play. Ruins the flow of the conversation imo.

Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Just Got Really Weird Again
Q: Which digital TCG do you think has the worst or best ranked PVP progression system?
Marvel Snap has a frustrating gambling-style ranking, while Rush Duel PvP and Duel Links allow players to stay at their new rank without demotion, which encourages experimentation.
No, Yu-Gi-Oh Tournaments are NOT Ruined Forever
Q: What reviewers did you follow, if any, and do you guys play any games older than current systems via emulation?
I followed game reviewers like AVGN. I play some older games through emulation, including Tech Mobile.
No, Yu-Gi-Oh Tournaments are NOT Ruined Forever
Q: Do you think Yu-Gi-Oh should embrace its moniker as the "Dark Souls of TCG"?
It might not attract many players, but at least it can build an identity. The new rules are certainly making it feel more demanding and competitive which could be appealing to hardcore players.
Yu-Gi-Oh Worlds Was WEIRD
Q: How difficult is it for you to be a Harry Potter fan these days given the controversies surrounding JK Rowling?
I have no problem saying I'm a Harry Potter fan because I separate the work from the creator. I appreciate the series on its own merits while being aware of Rowling's views. I focus on the impact the series had on me without letting her controversies dictate my enjoyment of the work.
Yu-Gi-Oh Worlds Was WEIRD
Q: Do you have any advice on how to learn Seagawk, Spell Speed, and Chain Blocking since Master Duel doesn't really do a good job?
It's important to treat activating a card separately from resolving it. Always clarify that you're activating a card, and when it resolves, say what will happen. This helps to understand the chain order and how interactions can change during gameplay.
