  • Filler with the fanboys

Now that it’s fall again, I can’t help but think about my old neighbor, Scott. I’ve told you guys about him before. He was a middle-aged guy who spent all his time sitting in his mom’s basement rambling to himself about a pathetic football team. He told us kids that he was talking to his friend who lived in England (and that was why we never saw him)… but he wasn’t fooling anyone. If only girls had existed back then… oh wait, they did…

  • The filer episodes

I get every show needs a some filter content but this show would rather talk about cowboys for 30 min that its own player that was out for the season and it’s been two days since it happened, there is no build up to the first week opener,

There is one guest who just take 10 min to get to one

Point .with that being said there is good content being provided with the interviews from media personnel.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 2,678 - Answering YOUR Mailbag Questions (Part 2) w/Glenn Naughton
Q: Why is receiver such a focal point early in the draft talks for the Jets?
The Jets need a young, productive target to complement Garrett Wilson, with realistic chances to contribute early and scale with the team's development, hence discussion about players like Troy Franklin and Brennan Thompson and whether to trade up or select a top-50 pick.
Episode 2,677 - Answering YOUR Mailbag Questions (Part 1) w/Glenn Naughton
Q: Should the Jets shoot for the stars with Reese or Tyson, given their many picks in the next two years?
Reese and Tyson represent different risk profiles: Reese is the high-upside pass rusher risk, Tyson carries durability risks; the Jets should balance risk with immediate impact and long-term value, possibly preferring Reese if the board allows a higher likelihood of day-one impact.
Episode 2,677 - Answering YOUR Mailbag Questions (Part 1) w/Glenn Naughton
Q: What is better for the Jets with their top two picks: an elite pass rusher or an elite off-ball linebacker?
The consensus is to lean toward the pass rusher for high-impact pressure and value, since an elite edge can dramatically affect games and compensation for top linemen is substantial, whereas a premier off-ball linebacker, while valuable, may not move the needle as much in the same way.
Episode 2,673 - Big Man in the Middle: T'Vondre Sweat All-22 Film Review w/Joe Blewett
Q: What stood out about Sweat's run defense on tape?
Sweat is dominated by his strength and length, consistently clogging the middle, holding ground, and negating double teams which makes him a core run defender.
Episode 2,676 - Geno Smith: A Season in Silver & Black w/Marcus Johnson
Q: How much of Geno's struggles were tied to the coaching and system around him?
The consensus was that Chip Kelly's offense and the surrounding coaching instability significantly hurt Geno, exacerbating timing and decision-making issues that he already faced.
