I want to thank you for sharing your story. I actually am from Thunder Bay and I remember meeting Gillis a couple times. I can share what I remember in some way if you wanted me to, but do not want to do so in this way on this post, out of respect. What I will say is that he struck me as a very good soul despite everything. A few years later someone told me he was doing time and it didn’t fit what my impression of him was.
