Mario Ponzio and Tom Nolan have each made a list of their 100 most pivotal films. Each week they will discuss another pair and break-down how they influenced them as film-goers and as people until they get to number 1. They will also tackle just released, under-the-radar, and bad films, all while drinking different tasty local beers every week. Films, Beers, Talking.

I was laughing aloud at how bad their review of Pieces of a Woman was. It would be hard to try to be more insensitive. The degree to which they didn’t understand how people react to child loss is laughable. Statements like “they wouldn’t let a birth happen at home if it was high risk” - no they don’t but you can’t always predict high risk births. Sadly babies and mums die everyday during childbirth at home and in hospital.
