  • Hit a gold mine!

Gosh! I just found this podcast through my coach Pete. Not only are these podcasts informational but they are also so encouraging especially when I am in one of my longest preps I have ever done. I listen to these on my way to work and after work, I even sometimes listen while I’m getting my workouts in. Keep these coming, I always am looking forward to them.

Creating a 10-Figure Business with Nick Mares
Q: Why did you decide to pursue a retail-first model and what were the key challenges in scaling inventory and distribution?
The biggest driver was the reliability and scale of retail channels; DTC alone couldn't sustain the growth due to supply constraints and the need for broad reach. The main challenges were securing production capacity, maintaining supply chain efficiency, and funding inventory to support retailers while balancing cash flow in a capital-intensive transition.
Creating a 10-Figure Business with Nick Mares
Q: You mentioned seven figures in four months after launch—how did your growth trajectory look in those early days, and what tactics were pivotal?
Early success came from aligning with Paleo-focused influencers and communities who could drive substantial, credible traffic and conversions. We focused on authentic partnerships, not broad advertising, and prioritized product quality that resonated with the target community. Inventory constraints and retail partnerships then shaped the strategy, shifting emphasis toward wholesale and distribution as demand grew.
Ep. 69: Building a Multi-Million Dollar Brand w/ Renee Schneider
Q: What are some of the failures and lessons that you would like to pass along?
One failure was growing too fast without having the systems in place to scale the company, which led to needing to downsize.
Ep. 67 Supplement Manufacturing Trailblazer Devenee Schumacher
Q: What's next for you and SDC?
Devenee mentioned that the new facility is gravity fed and that they will introduce stick pack services by 2026, while also continuing to develop new programs for startups.
Ep. 68: The Evolution of Dr. Jim Stoppani
Q: Where do you see the supplement industry headed in the next ten years?
There's likely to be a shift towards health-focused supplementation as the population ages.
