I think the title sums it up! I stumbled on this podcast and am not sure how I missed it, but I am VERY GLAD I have now found it. I am binge-listening and can absolutely recommend it.
I feel it’s so important in this age of celebrities & cash-making to support these incredible independent podcast makers. One of the best podcasts around, makes a change to not have adverts interrupting the show. Very good and informative.
I started listening to persons unknown a couple of months ago. At first I thought the narrator’s voice was a bit droney, but I have come to appreciate the clear and thorough way he describes events. He does not express his own opinion as a rule and I am really enjoying the podcast.
This is a great podcast that brings attention to many non high profile cases, it is presented well and gives in depth information. Thanks John.
Just found recently, so I have lots to binge! Very well done!

A true crime series that centers on unsolved murders and disappearances from Wales and beyond, delivered with a calm, narrative-driven style. Episodes emphasize meticulous case reconstruction, timelines, and survivor perspectives, often revisiting older cases and incorporating archival material, witness memories, and updated forensic reviews. A standout is the emphasis on lesser-known cases and international reach, with a focus on respectful, evidence-based storytelling and minimal banter. Listeners appear to value thorough research, clear narration, and compassion for victims and families, with occasional critique of pacing or monotone delivery noted by some reviewers.
