chin-wag: to have a chat, a friendly conversation. Actor Paul Giamatti and Stephen Asma, author and philosopher, join forces for a freewheeling series of conversations that dive deep (like, really, really deep) into the wilderness of the mind. Featuring prominent guests from diverse fields, Chinwag is esoteric in the best way possible, as Paul and Stephen delve into anything and everything: Are we living in a simulation? What’s the most perfect sentence in literature? Is Bigfoot interdimensional? Science, the occult, philosophy, magic mushrooms… it’s all fair game! Unexpected, hilarious, and maybe even profound — Chinwag is all about having a really, really good chat. ========= Please help us get to know you better by completing our Chinwagger Survey 👉🏼 https://gum.fm/chinwag ========= New episodes drop Wednesdays for free here: Apple: http://apple.co/chinwag Spotify: https://spoti.fi/49ja5iJ Make sure to follow us @chinwagpod 👉🏼 YT: https://www.youtube.com/@chinwagpod IG: https://... more

I’m so happy to have found this podcast! I heard Paul on the Marc Maron podcast (which was a great interview by the way) and knew I wanted to check out Chinwag. more
I can’t get enough of Paul Giamatti’s wit and Stephen Asma’s insights into the Everyday and the Esoteric. Brilliant conversations with genuinely interesting writers and actors. Giants doses of laughs and lightbulb moments. And the tone is art school funk. More please!
Paul and Steve bring an every person approach to paranormal topics. This makes listening to The Chinwag fun. They question odd happenings lightheartedly with a good measure of sincerity and just enough skepticism. I’m happy that I have their entire catalog to cycle through. I’ll be entertained for a good long while. more
I found Chin Wag after listening to Paul on Arm Chair Expert. I am always fascinated by the hobbies (not in a negative way), topics/areas of interest, and their unique “how they got started in the biz” stories from actors and actresses. Learning about the ancient Egypt and what goes bump in the night. more
