I was impressed with Dr. Shaw’s intelligent and out of the box paper. I was disappointed in Dr. Kalra when he repeatedly addressed her by her first name while addressing The male doctor as “Dr.”. Also disappointing that Dr. Karla assumed the paper was the brainchild of the man and not the woman, and thank you to Dr. Harris for immediately correcting this assumption. Please be equally respectful regardless of gender.
As a cardiac nurse, it’s been interesting to get a more in depth look at some of these topics. In the hospital, we are so focused on patient care and education for our individual roles. This podcast provides me with a physician’s perspective that we don’t always have the time at work to discuss. It’s been a wonderful listen thus far.
This is a phenomenal podcast that emphasizes not only the latest in cardiology from a medicine perspective, but the so many other important topics that are necessary for learners at all levels of their career to understand to be an improved physician and person!
Excellent Cardiology podcast with insightful topics. Led by an exceptional Interventional Cardiologist who engages guest speakers with stimulating questions and interactions. Dr. Ankur Kalra’s dedication to the advancement of Cardiology patient care is evident through his authenticity. Highly recommend!!
The idea of interviewing cardiologists is exceptional. It literally helps early stage people like me to know them, their values, ideology, how their journey evolved. We know them from distant but after listening this podcast it feels we know them. Dr Kalra is a great guy, his questions are so relatable to reviewers like me. I listen to it everyday on my commute and it gives me great pleasure. They are so engaging that sometimes I have lost my exit, lol!!

A thoughtful, physician-led series that blends clinical excellence with human aspects of cardiology. Episodes feature leading interventional and academic cardiologists, exploring topics from GDMT optimization and heart failure management to interventional advances, device trials, and health equity. A standout is the focus on practical implications for patient care, clinician well-being, mentorship, and leadership in cardiology, often pairing clinical dilemmas with broader system-level considerations. The format tends to center expert interviews, with deep dives into contemporary debates, research findings, and real-world application, making it useful for clinicians seeking both technical insight and career guidance.
