An interesting analysis of 80s Marvel characters through the eyes of hosts who have no idea who any of these people are but have a great time doing it
An original podcast that highlights the absurdity of the Marvel universe through the eyes of everyday people. I never knew characters like Bushmaster or the Blob needed to be reviewed under such parameters, but I’m glad somebody finally did it.
First, this podcast is not for kids. They don’t always work blue, but they somehow manage to be at their most prurient whenever someone else is in my truck to hear it. So it isn’t 100% clean, but it’s hilariously funny and it weirdly makes me feel better about the world. The ladies’ positive outlook, and the way they value things like humility, kindness, and a sense of adventure always encourage me. I genuinely get excited every time I see a new episode has dropped.

Love to hear each month from siskoid and the ladies (but mostly the ladies) as they examine each character, famous or obscure and pass judgement
Will they be Hot like the Armadillo or Not like Angel.
Anytime I'm having a bad day, I can always count on an episode of this podcast to bring a smile to my face. Siskoid and his panel of comedy co-conspirators are clearly having fun critiquing the character designs displayed in the 30-year old Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe (the eponymous OHOTMU). Bravo to all involved for creating such a novel treat.

A humorous roundtable that critiques entries from a long-running Marvel character handbook, focusing on whether each character is hot or not. Episodes mix design analysis, backstory trivia, and playful debates, with a strong emphasis on visual aesthetics, costumes, and era-specific tropes. The show is notable for its lighthearted banter, diverse female panel, and the host's steady guidance, creating an approachable entry point for fans of comics, pop culture trivia, and retro toy lines.
Across episodes, the format consistently blends nostalgia with irreverent humor, inviting listeners to weigh in on obscure and iconic characters alike. A standout aspect is the panel's willingness to foreground design critique and cultural context over trad... more
