Offshore explorer brings you into the world of sailing & cruising through the adventures of Scott Dodgson. Offshore explorer is so easy to listen to that you feel as if you are talking to a lifelong friend over a sundowner. The entertainment value is abundant to say the least, but what I enjoy the most is the inspiration to dream big & live your life on your terms. I assure you of 1 thing, when an episode ends the 1st feeling you have is MORE !!!
One brave man’s very real account of his life at sea. Scott’s captivating stories make you feel you are sailing along right next to him. Packed in with great advice with a little side of humor. A must listen for any sailor!

I tuned in to the Podcast on the Eastern Med
since these are my present home waters. Scott is a wonderful story teller and wove sailing along with some doses of politics, sociology and history. Looking forward to hearing some of his other podcasts and stories within. I hope he will come back to Israel some day so we can show him another side.
I love this podcast. They have the right voices for a podcast, easy to listen to and the stories are really what sailing is about. Not just type of rig and technical issues but also the stories of people and places visited by boat.
Don’t let the title Offshore Explorer make you think it’s a podcast only about sailing. The narrator Scott Dodson uses sailing as a vehicle to talk about life’s journey. Centering around maritime experiences that have shaped his life, Dodson’s essays provide a moral compass you can apply to your own daily encounters and situations. My favorite Dodson advice goes something like. “First find the boat and then look for the woman”. In other words, follow your dream and see what happens. Have a list... more
Great story telling. There is so much more to this podcast than just sailing. Thoughtful, insightful, and entertaining. Traveling with Scott is a joy.
Some of these are great but becoming a sailor was about some random stuff. White people vs people of color, WHO CARES, trash bags, earth quake in Turkey, huh? Please talk on the topic. It sounded like it would be interesting. It could have been but it wasn’t.
Same with food episode. Way too much about pepper and way too little about food or cooking.
Very entertaining!
A great listen - many thanks ;)
A perspective on the world that I never knew I needed!
One of my favorite podcasts! Highly recommend!
Excellent Podcast A great listen! Thank you Scott!
This is a fantastic way to get out without being able to go anywhere!
OffShore Explorer is my favorite pod cast right now. Informative and entertaining. Love the host, Scott, leading us through exciting adventures with knowledge and expertise. Keep them coming, please.
