IMHO-reading up on trends is a great catch-up tool especially for the uninformed and those who missed a trend entirely. As with all trend reporting, I remain skeptical as a whole. It has been my experience that if a trend is reported, it's usually at it's peak, starts to plateau, or worse--the trend slides into a decline. True trend reporting is when it's mentioned a good 3 months before it peaks. My 2¢...
