  • Instant classic!

This show is going places. It has that tight-knit feel that all the best podcasts have, as well as truly likable hosts and guests. I’m definitely not the prime demographic for the show or the music but I love both. It’s also turning me onto some genres of music that I didn’t know or had ignored previously. I can honestly say this pod is making my days more enjoyable and while I’m burning days listening to the massive back catalog of episodes, I’m lowkey craving the next drop.

Femdot. Interview: On Free Samples Vol. 2, songwriting, & Chicago
Q: How does it feel to be at a place where, obviously, you're very Chicago-formed who you are, but now you're at a place where the city institutions are acknowledging you?
It's really cool because I'm not used to name recognition; to see institutions reaching out lets me know I'm being recognized for the work I've put in over years.
Femdot. Interview: On Free Samples Vol. 2, songwriting, & Chicago
Q: Can you talk a little bit about what the kind of theme of Free Samples means and waffle goods and everything?
The waffle goods are a fictional grocery store I created to package the abundant music I have as samples for listeners while building excitement for my forthcoming album.
