Update 31 May: not often can I be compelled to change a review but this podcast has earned its upgrade with the new season. Rather than just stating the obvious on what we know about the failures of the government since 2010, the presenters are moving more towards the issues - we need more podcasts that are about the issues rather than the personalities, and bringing perspectives on solutions. Great topical current affairs podcast around the north but focused on the issues of the day. Lovely relationship and harms back to when you could argue your point and still be friends afterwards. Always makes you think and don’t agree with loads but that is the purpose of listening to challenge yourself - Brilliant work keep it up
Season 4 continues where the previous seasons left off. It’s great to get the insight into the politics of the north and also pick up things that I may have missed in the news etc. Along with the regular ‘on manoeuvres’ and the banter it is a cracking listen.
Update 19 April: I’m following this podcast because I partly grew up in the north, my dad’s family is from the north, and it holds a special place in my heart, as I still have family there. I really want to be part of building a brighter, positive, dignified, and fairer future for the North, but Michael Taylor is doing everything possible to show that this isn’t going to be with the Labour Party. He should re-listen to some of what he says on the podcast - please stop sabotaging the party before... more
