  • Good mix of heart and industry know-how

I don’t work in travel, so I thought No Show might feel a little dry to me, but that’s not the case. The hosts, who are both great, never lose sight of the human element. I’ve learned a lot about the behind-the-scenes world of travel that I don’t see from my side of the lobby—but also history, design, and the professionals who really love this industry. Thank you!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why DMCs Matter with Tony Lorenz
Q: How has delivery changed with technology and social media?
Delivery now emphasizes amplification and pursuit of measurable business impact; technology improves productivity and enables broader audience engagement beyond the physical event while maintaining authentic, in-person experiences.
Why DMCs Matter with Tony Lorenz
Q: What is a DMC and what do they do in practice?
DMCs are local experts that activate geographies to deliver events and experiences for brands, handling everything from venues and transportation to food, design, tours, and multi-day programs; they help ensure consistency and quality across locations.
Travel Alberta's David Goldstein
Q: David, you love all your children, of course, equally, even the black sheep. If you had to choose one underrated ski destination in all of Canada, what would it be?
Two underrated picks stand out: Mont-Blanc near Mont-Tremblant for a less-ornate, family-focused experience with good access, and Marmot Basin in Jasper (plus Nakiska near Calgary) to showcase Alberta's broader ski options beyond the famous Banff spots.
Claudia Vecchio of Sonoma County Tourism
Q: Is it true that you were part of the Fox Broadcasting Network's television programming at the very beginning 40 years ago?
Yes, I joined early on and worked during the formative years of Fox, contributing to the network as it established itself, which gave me unique insights into branding and audience engagement that I've carried into my later work in tourism.
Africa’s Hotel Pipeline with Trevor Ward
Q: It's time for the mystery question. Trevor, I've only been to Morocco, and I want to explore more of the continent, and I want to go somewhere that is different. Where should I go?
Trevor suggests destinations that are off the main tourist path, including Uganda for safari experiences and South Tome and Principe for a truly remote, eco-friendly option, while also noting the value of choosing based on personal interests like culture, nature, or beaches.
