No Return: An Audio Drama by Kier Zhou
No Return is what happens when you give one person too much coffee, a microphone, and a world that won’t stop expanding.
It’s a fantasy series about gods, worlds, mercenaries, lost cities, and bad decisions… but mostly it’s about people trying (and failing) to make sense of the mess they’re in. The tone swings from absurd to sincere, from divine slapstick ... more

Very arrogant but very good fn excellent 👌👍
It’s cliche to say this show is “undefinable,” but with so many story lines crossing so many genres, the only appropriate genre is probably “epic,” in the same sense that the Odyssey and The Iliad are “epics.” I cannot begin to imagine how this creator keeps all his characters and plot lines straight, but it’s a marvel watch it happen!
I love the details of the work that he’s built! There’s epic twists and some shattering of long held beliefs in the world he’s created as you listen along.
Each series feels very different in genre, which I love and never gets boring. It’s also so cool when you see the characters and story lines interweaving!
And of course there’s lots of tongue and cheek bits in there too for humour.
I would 10/10 recommend.
It’s a bit weird but it’s so funny!
This show has one of the most chaotic [affectionate] release schedules but each of the ongoing arcs has something unique to offer and gives you a different angle on the world-building. Sometimes gut wrenchingly funny, sometimes grounded, it keeps you on your toes!
