Super smart show that provides a thoughtful entry point to a sprawling, fascinating genre.
I always appreciate niche podcasts. I am in love with niche podcasts with a tone of fantastical unimportance. Let’s all waste some time together and have fun. Any hack can pretend their show is serious and about “ stuff”. You need a baseline of knowledge and talent to pull off a podcast like this. I’m not even all that partial to this kind of music, but I like this show.
Been listening to this podcast for a while now and I love the vibe of Ross and Birk.
The previewed music is really enjoyable too, as they show genres I wasn't interested in before!
Thank you guys for this podcast and keep it going.
Entertaining discussion and deeply careful and informed analysis of the many forms and varieties of haunted music. Great to listen to just to hear two dudes talk excitedly about what they like but also gives superb recommendations for music most people would never have otherwise encountered. Truly awesome stuff.
I Love this podcast. love the music. Somebody had to do it and you did it right . Yah mon!

Two hosts dive into haunted and retro-forward music scenes, with a focus on vaporwave, dark ambient, and related subgenres. Episodes often dissect production choices, curation, and scene dynamics while weaving in local communities, live events, and visual aesthetics that define niche electronic music. The conversation balances deep analysis with accessible recommendations, making it a strong fit for listeners who crave thoughtful genre exploration and practical listening guidance, along with ongoing community engagement through Patreon and Discord. A notable strength is the duo's clear passion for offbeat, historically informed music, which helps newcomers find entry points and seasoned fans discover new corners of the scene.
