  • Not at the right BPM

Used to be a go-to podcast for new music, new Irish bands and generally what’s happening round town. Has kind of pivoted in the last 18 months. Auto downloads but seldom listen through now. Nialler9 playlists on Spotify and Lumo nights still aces tho.

Lauren Kennedy on NYC gigs, Irish music, going viral and moving back to Ireland for the summer (Podcast)
Q: What initially brought you to New York and how did your music-loving life there begin?
Lauren talks about moving straight out of college to New York six and a half years ago and how the city's Irish-community and night-life culture drew her in, followed by the pandemic that shaped what she could do and see.
Kate Nash on Sinead O'Connor, Irish heritage & kicking against the pricks of the music industry
Q: How do you see the balance between art and activism in your career?
Art is the platform for meaningful discussion; activism informs the stories I tell in my work, and I believe the most powerful change comes from combining the two rather than separating them.

Q: What has surprised you most about being heard in Parliament and advocating for touring changes?
Being invited to speak and seeing politicians engage with touring challenges showed me that personal experience can influence policy, but changes require ongoing advocacy and coalition-building beyond individual anecdotes.
