  • Lazy & Narow

Every time I try to listen to this show it has gotten worse. Can’t imagine how anyone could waste bandwidth on the video version. Powerful men in podcasting riffing on stuff they don’t know (and can’t be bothered to learn) about before they press record. Zero editing (imagine having that level of arrogance). Embarrassing for the whole industry.

***My only small gripe is that Todd will often ask Rob what he's thinking and then proceed to cut him off before Rob's had his chance t... more

What Is New Media Now vs Podcasting? | Ashley Christenson / @Ashni #665
Q: Ashley, what's your reaction to that?
Oh my gosh. I love this. It feels like somebody explaining your culture to people outside of it, and it reinforces the complexity and nuance of how we define new media and the creator economy.
Libsyn’s Next Chapter: Podcast Hosting, Video, Monetization, RSS and API | Brendan Monaghan #660
Q: What role will AI play in production and content labeling?
AI will impact production enablement and content labeling; there is a balance to strike between using AI to augment creators and maintaining human authenticity, with labeling standards likely to evolve to protect trust.
Libsyn’s Next Chapter: Podcast Hosting, Video, Monetization, RSS and API | Brendan Monaghan #660
Q: How do RSS and APIs fit into the future of distribution?
RSS remains important for open syndication while APIs provide closed, richer data relations; the two will likely coexist, with platforms enabling creators to distribute across multiple channels in a simple, unified way.
