  • Good podcast

Guilty pleasure podcast listening to a couple curmudgeons rip the isles. McDavid is a “ham and egger” take but grumpy old MAGA man drove me to write this review. Hilarity!

After bashing Lou for the horvat trade for the main reason dumb hof gm he couldn’t sign him. Next day he signed 8 yrs he also said he woud t sign a contract with us now. But he said we could of signed him after season. Do you see how ridiculous he sounds again. He won’t sign now but he’ll sign as free. Agent I can’t believe they amlolllllll. I’d love to watch a game with him no sound and I’ll school him on the game of hockey. I don’t know him so I’m just taking a guess I wonder off he ever actua... more

  • Probably the most intelligent isles podcasters out there.…

Just listen and they’ll remind you at least a dozen times during the show. Due to the lack of isles podcasts I gave them an honest shot, and listened to a few weeks of shows. I just can’t anymore. Both the main dudes are completely insufferable and a little too high on themselves. Constantly pointing out how they correctly predicted every negative islanders situation since the turn of the century. Stick to isles anxiety. Their gripes are discussed in a much more entertaining style and mike and D... more

  • Two and a half hours that could be ten minutes.

The other reviews are correct. Nothing but complaining. Talking in complete circles. “Lou is terrible. Bad contracts. They will never make the playoffs. Horrible ownership that just wants to flip the team. Rinse. Repeat.” For two and a half hours. They is a lot of good content out there. This is five hours a week I could be listening to that.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

First Impressions of Mathieu Darche: Episode 341
Q: What are your thoughts on the new assistant GM, Ryan Bowness?
The hosts express skepticism, suggesting his hiring may not indicate a significant change in the Islanders' strategy, as he's seen as another familiar face within the organization.
Islanders Draft Review
Q: Do we think management is coming out and saying that they're not doing a rebuild to try and not affect ticket sales?
It seems like fans associate rebuild with tough times ahead, and management might want to avoid that perception to maintain ticket sales.
New York Islanders Free Agency Breakdown: Episode 344
Q: How do you feel about the contracts in regards to dollar amounts and the term of the deals?
We've mostly covered that already, but my overall assessment is a mix of good and some questionable decisions.
Islanders Still without GM: Episode 334
Q: Do you think Lou Lamorello may still be involved with the organization after being fired?
Jack mentioned that there's a possibility Lou's presence on the team might influence the hiring of a new GM, causing speculation among candidates.
Islanders Talk with Gil Martin: Episode 326
Q: Where do you put the Islanders and what should the Islanders be doing right now?
I put the Islanders where they were for the last three or four years. They're in the muddy middle and they're not bad enough to get a lottery pick and they're not good enough to be a Stanley Cup contender.
