  • Another Intellectually Dishonest Political Show

The show says it’s about the internet with unbiased takes, but it’s just another left wing political show. I really wanted to like it, but their coverage of Minnesota fraud was a joke.

I genuinely appreciated the way they humanize the Somali community and show the harm in the stereotypes that have come as a result, but the fact they gloss over the reasons Nick Shirley and federal politicians think fraud is occurring is ludicrous.

I appreciate that they included the Feeding our Future fraud ... more

  • One of the Best

What is there to say? Nearly every episode will make you ask thoughtful questions about the world we live in. One of only a handful of podcasts I never miss an episode, one of the two I’ll drop everything for and listen to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AI At Work? In This Economy?
Q: What keeps workers from taking a stand against AI in their job?
A combination of fear of judgment, potential loss of income, and the perception that employers won't tolerate dissent, which leads many to rationalize using AI to protect their livelihoods.
A New Type of Grief: Inheritance Posting
Q: Why do objects matter in this practice?
Objects function as tangible anchors that ground memory and emotion, acting as focal points for storytelling and collective mourning. They become totems that help convert the private experience of grief into a shared ritual, connecting the living with the dead through meaning and connection.
A New Type of Grief: Inheritance Posting
Q: What is inheritance posting and how does it work?
Kurt explains that inheritance posting is a form of sharing and repackaging objects tied to a deceased loved one to create ongoing narratives. These posts give viewers a way to engage with grief publicly, while the poster processes loss by weaving memory, objects, and community feedback into a evolving story.
Did The Feed Ruin Taste?
Q: What is the central idea about taste in the age of algorithmic feeds?
Taste is less about fixed categories and more about its relationship to the individual; the internet amplifies what one already enjoys but can distort the depth of engagement, pushing people toward a torrent of quick, surface-level content.
The Internet Is A Megadungeon [Archive Pull]
Q: What is a Megadungeon?
Gabriele explains that a Megadungeon is a dungeon so large that it can represent an entire gaming world, containing an ecology, urbanism, and different zones, where you might start inside and never leave, which then becomes a framework for understanding contemporary media and technology.
