As a Veteran Special Education Teacher and fellow podcaster, can’t state my gratitude fir this podcast enough. The doctor was very passionate and knowledgeable. Wanted to point out that in the school system, if a child is displaying the characteristics of dyslexia, they are tested for and if they qualify, receive services for SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY. ( if any of the pair work lists dyslexia, the child will not receive services due to the wrong label). Thought y’all should know 😊.
Dana was a joy to visit with - it felt like a conversation with a friend over coffee. Dana's background and experience as an educator, lawyer, and mom came through in her questions and conversation bringing a real-life feel to our conversation around supporting and optimizing kids' well-being and development.
