When you hear “it was said” followed by obvious rumour with no factual grounding in a historical work, you know it is of the lowest kind of demeaning slop.
It is surprising that wven in this day and age, 200 year old tabloid propoganda passes as history, peddling gossip as worthwhile literature.
There are genuine, historical accounts of Napoleons, whose contributions to politics, military warfare, art, governance etc are well documented and his personal life is as fascinating.

After finishing the Titanic series, which is the best historical podcast I’d heard to date, I wanted to see what else Noiser offered and tried Napoleon. Outstanding. Again, Paul Mcgann is the best in the business. Throughly engaging story lines and immersive audio. As a custodian I listen to dozens of hours of podcasts a week and Noiser produces the most entertaining and educational content for my taste.

This show is truly extraordinary. I have read two books on Napoleon and have watched countless shows about him. This series found the perfect balance to make it fully entertaining and informative but without pointless detail and information overload. Napoleon is quite an enigmatic character and this show shines light on both the warrior dictator and the philosopher statesman. High production value, subtle sound effects and a stirring score, make this particular series stand out.
