As a dog owner, I want the best for my little guy. He’s my everything! But sometimes general nutrition isn’t enough. • Insightful, inspirational, and informative

I have a challenging dog and for the past 2 years I have listened to a ridiculous amount of dog behavior podcasts. I was so focused on traditional training until I came upon this podcast and this has really inspired me to slow down, consider other ways of helping my dog, and focus more on our connection. It has also opened my eyes to more natural ways of living my own life and raising my children. Alexia is so kind and lovely. She always takes the time to answer questions and offer support and I... more

Revisited: Your Dog's Microbiome - An Unexpected Window to the Soul with Dr Odette Suter
Q: What are some things that people can be doing to support the health of their microbiome and their dog's microbiome in practical terms?
Start with early attention to microbiome development, look for testing to understand the current microbial landscape, then address diet, enzymes, stomach acid, and liver function; reduce toxins; increase movement and outdoor exposure for natural microbial exposure; consider detox where appropriate; and support nervous system balance through bodywork and mindfulness to create an environment where healing can occur.
Raw Feeding: What the Evidence Actually Says About Canine Health (Part 1) with Dr Anna Hielm-Björkman
Q: Why is long-term, independent research crucial in this field?
Long-term, independent studies reduce bias from funding sources and marketing; they help establish true cause-and-effect relationships, reveal how processing affects metabolism, and provide trustworthy reference values for health markers in dogs on non-traditional diets.
Raw Feeding: What the Evidence Actually Says About Canine Health (Part 1) with Dr Anna Hielm-Björkman
Q: From your research perspective, what is a truly species-appropriate diet for dogs?
A species-appropriate diet is not defined by a single formula but by how well the food's form, nutrients, and processing match the dog's biology; data suggest metabolic differences between raw and dry foods, and the most important questions are about long-term health outcomes, individual variation, and how to best reflect nutrient bioavailability rather than just macro counts.
Revisited: Canine First Aid - What Every Guardian Should Know with Rachel Bean, RVN
Q: What are the most critical emergencies pet parents should be prepared for?
Bleeding, heat-related emergencies (heat stroke and heat stress), choking, CPR, burns, and dog bites are the top scenarios; being prepared with a first aid kit and knowledge can dramatically affect outcomes.
Listening Beyond Behavior: A Conversation on Shamanic Dog Training & Deep Connection with Tamryn Fudge
Q: How did shamanic principles integrate with practical dog training for you?
They created a dual framework: a body of technique for concrete skills and a body of knowledge for how to relate to the dog in every moment, allowing safety and freedom without relying on force or rigid rules.
