This week on Myopia Movies, we watch Marvel's own Jarvis/Vision fight to stop AI by trying to stop Johnny Depp. It's not as fun as that sounds. We watched Transcendence (2014), wow this movie can't event decide if AI or Johnny Depp is a bad guy. You'... more

Only reason it's not five stars is the audio. One host sounds like they're in a corner of the room, but then they'll all of a sudden sound good, maybe the hosts are sharing microphones, I don't know. Another host in a few episodes sounds like their mouth is full. I listen on a speaker at work so these issues really turn me off of the pod

Inspiring group of friends who know a decent amount about movies;
all talking over each other with at times poor sound quality, add to that annoying stoppages of looking things up on their computers going through verbatim internet movie trivia and sounds of phone’s pinging, drinks opening and continuous noises in the background. But I still listen each week!
Unlike most review shows, this is funny at times, but is also an honest review of the films. Also, the crux of the film is that people have to defend movies they have not seen in years; great flashbacks to my youth. A lot of fun!
Listening through, there are still some audio issues, but they have tightened up the show in the last couple seasons. Good mix of different genres, overall solid show.

Listeners flock to nostalgic deep-dives into 80s and 90s film favorites, with a playful riff-heavy format that weighs memories against modern perspectives. Episodes cover a wide range of cult classics and blockbuster remakes, analyzing pacing, cultural context, and legacy, often mixing heartfelt reminiscence with sharp critique. A notable strength is the rotating panel dynamic and willingness to call out both nostalgic charm and dated elements, which can appeal to fans of both film history and casual recall. The show tends to pair insightful commentary with lively banter, making it a good fit for listeners who enjoy memoir-like discussions anchored in cinema from the past.
