I'd seen this podcast warmly recommended on the excellent, "Mental Illness Happy Hour" podcast.
"Choosing Your Chosen Family" is thorough and practical episode.
I really enjoyed the episode on Intergenerational Trauma. The teaching on learned behaviors not being a part of one's actual personality, is a much-needed illumination in late 2024.
Solid interviews with people who are experts in their fields.
This is such an amazing and thoughtful podcast. Renae has such a familiar and friendly way of engaging with their guests that makes listening and relating very easy. The things addressed in this podcast are also extremely important and seeing them spoken about in such an accessible way is really fantastic! It helps shed so much light on issues that aren’t talked about in this way, and opens up conversations for hard, but important, topics.
This pod is fantastic! Great questions are being asked with a lot of thoughtful conversations.
Each episode feels like an intimate chat with friends. Renae’s ability to engage therapists and community members in authentic conversations is commendable. They tackle mental health topics using a queer lens, which broadens our understanding and empathy.
I’m never suggesting my friends seek professional help ever again. All I do now is recommend this podcast. Work smart, not hard.

A mental-health focused show that centers queer and trans perspectives, pairing licensed therapists with LGBTQ+ community members to discuss mental health, belonging, and practical self- and community-care. Episodes frequently explore identity-based harm, embodiment, neurodiversity, allyship, and the role of storytelling and mutual aid in healing, all through a compassionate, accessible, queer‑leaning lens. A standout trait is hosting therapy professionals who translate complex mental-health concepts into concrete strategies for everyday life and community support, making it a reliable resource for listeners seeking validation, tools, and inclusive conversations.
