I think every designer can learn so much from this podcast about the business side of being a (motion) designer. The guests are great and Hayley and her team are doing a great job in asking the right questions. No fluff but really good tips about the part of (motion) design no-one really talks about.
This podcast is wonderfully focused.
The internet is filled to the brim with amazing podcasts regarding creativity and visual arts, however most of the time the array of topics that are discussed is too wide, leading you to never experience the deep dive you originally expected.
The Motion Hatch podcast beautifully fills this gap, focusing exclusively on all the aspects surrounding Motion Design, from how to develop your style to how to market yourself more efficiently and get more clients.

Kevin Rapp’s episode brought me here. Hayley’s interview skills are top notch and I felt like she was asking questions I had in my head. Not only was the episode a breeze to listen to, I walked away with practical and actionable steps I could apply to my own production company. Even though I’m not a motion designer, I got a ton of value out of that episode. 50 minutes and a new perspective, best investment I’ve made.
Motion Hatch is THE place to start building your career as a motion designer. The podcasts are always on point with guests that speak directly to the industry where it needs it the most — business. Definitely turn on notifications for new episodes because they’re always gold.
Great advice for anyone interesting in learning more about the motion design industry.
