This is the journey of a group of friends who are going back at to the properties that gave us joy in our younger years to se how they hold up. We guys (and occasionally maybe a gal) will be going through each episode and looking at it with adult eyes to see if it holds up or if it is an odd nostalgia trap. The guys finish the rise and fall of Joey Slick. He and his trusty gun go so far and climb so high. There's only one big problem, Joey Slick is a fella of good moral character, well at least not evil...

We're off to the Aegean Sea in the 12th episode of MASK. Poor Scott and T-Bob have to do chores to pay for passage on Matt Trakker's luxury yacht to Greece. How awful, right?

I love this podcast and all the attention given to individual episodes and characters!
I was hoping for some nostalgia fueled talks about old episodes but more often than not the hosts seem to hate the episodes and characters. Lots of complaining and trying to apply real world logic to a cartoon is nuts. Wouldn’t recommend.
Great podcast with two guys reviewing the original G1 Transformers show. They go episode by episode so it’s easy to rewatch and follow along. Awesome witty banter between the two hosts, they are fun to listen to every week, and they provide new insight and perspectives on the show!
This has been a great trip down memory lane. At first i wasn't sure how they would fill nearly an hour for each episode, but it works very well. They tie in general conversation about the toy and cartoon landscape of the 80s with very detailed synopsis and reviews of each episode. I can clearly picture and hear the lines in my mind that filled my childhood. Great job combining thoughts through a child's eyes as well as an adult. Can't wait for more!!

A nostalgia-forward show where a tight-knit group revisits beloved 1980s-1990s toy-and-cartoon properties, with a focus on Transformers, GoBots, GI Joe, Exosquad, and related toy lines. Episodes blend episode-by-episode replays, character spotlights, and cross-media context, pairing light banter with analytical takes on plot, design, and continuity. The hosts lean into pop-culture references, production trivia, and fandom nostalgia, making it feel like a conversation among friends who grew up with these properties while still offering fresh perspectives for long-time fans. Noteworthy angles include cross-franchise connections, detailed comic-book Deep Dives, and a willingness to critique dated tropes with humor. For potential listeners, it'... more
