ヨシタケシンスケさんは自作の評判を調べたりしないそうです。良くも悪くも、読者の声を聞いてしまうと影響されてしまうとわかっているから。意外にミーハーだという話、あこがれの絵本の話などなど、いやあ、最後まで、おもしろかったです。
絵を描くときに、あえて取材はしない。それどころか画像検索もしないヨシタケさん。「当事者になってしまうと描けない」という明確なスタンスの話から、今回もどんどん広がって、大喜利と重なる話、顔出しの話、「元気のない人」の話と、今回も聞き所満載です。
ヨシタケさんが心がけているのは、子どものころの自分がいやだったこと、イラッとしたことを作品のなかに入れない。漫画が描けないことや、動物を描くときの決まりなど、「どうしてもそうなってしまう」という理屈の細かさと切実さがたまらない。
後ろ向きな話を明るく話してくださるのがヨシタケシンスケさんの大きな特長です。逃げ道の話、自分で自分に発注する話、クオリティを落としてでも締切を守る（！）話、理屈で75点までは行ける話、など、など、ずっとおもしろいです、ほんとうに。

過去3名のゲストのお話は、全く業界の異なる方々でしたが、すべて大変興味深い内容でした。やはり、一個人が仕事のときに何をどう考えているのか、というテーマが面白いです。巷に溢れる自己啓発やハウツーとは違って、「個人的にこう考えて仕事しているんです（正解かわからないし、他の人はどうかわかりませんが）」という話なので、自己研鑽的な視点はいったん置いておいて、ただただ話を楽しく拝聴できました。
