  • Show is amazing but one issue

Usually the show is amazing and I would have giving you 5 stars but a couple weeks back you had Craig Rhyne on the show who defrauded a lot of people out of there money and spent time in jail for it! I really thought it was a bad call to have him on the show! So for now it only gets 2 stars!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You Ask Mike; Mike Answers!
Q: What is a realistic way to make trading and paying in precious metals normal, and are there good precious metals-backed currencies or currencies you like?
The host emphasizes building practical structures to transact in metals, whether via depositories or private entities, and stresses the importance of human action and networks; he also notes that gold is less volatile and a better long-term savings vehicle than silver, while acknowledging opportunities for barter in physical silver for Mad Max-type scenarios.
You Ask Mike; Mike Answers!
Q: Heather asks for an update on Texas establishing a precious metal depository and whether other states have done similar things. What's the status and implications?
He confirms Texas established a state gold and silver depository in 2018, with a mechanism to transfer small amounts of metal in transactions, but as of the time of the show, the transactional system was not up and running; cautions about potential negative regulatory implications for bullion dealers from state-backed currency ideas.
You Ask Mike; Mike Answers!
Q: Steve asked about trading the gold-silver ratio and what to do if refiners are backed up. When should you use the ratio and how to time it?
The host explains the current ratio around 54:1, notes historical movement between 50:1 and 60:1, and says using the ratio can be a strategy to move between silver and gold, but timing is difficult and investing remains personal; overall, he emphasizes saving in gold.
You Ask Mike; Mike Answers!
Q: Cody asked, at what point do we start trading in metals instead of paper currency? What does that timeline look like and where are we currently on that timeline?
The host suggests that a full switch to metal-based trade may require a significant systemic breakdown; more realistically, an evolution toward using sound money and electronic transfers of precious metals is likely, with de-dollarization and multi-currency dynamics shaping the move rather than a sudden swap.
Silver Resilient Despite Iran Headwinds
Q: What is the outlook for silver versus gold in the current environment?
Silver is expected to outperform gold on a percentage basis due to its industrial demand and historical underpricing, potentially tripling in relative value.
